'Fear us, for we are acolytes' is a scenario about the lies told to
fulfil selfish needs. The PC's play a group of con artists who pose as
an Inquisitors acolytes. They target wealthy but isolated people,
claiming they are heretics. The victim is killed and possessions taken
as evidence. Then the PC's lay low for a few months, living off the
wealth. then look for a new target. The gang consists of a Guardsman, a
Cleric, an Adept, an Arbitrator, a Tech-priest and a scum class.
A Squad of “The Sons of Guilliman” Space Marines rebelled against
the yoke of imperial rule; and the kill team’s sergeant killed off the
planet’s imperial governor and seceded the planet from its imperial
rule. The sergeant later became known as Constantinus the Liberator. After he plunged the local star systems into rebellion and war, an imperial vindicare assassin killed him.
The Imperium is a vast empire struggling to survive against threats from both inside and outside their frontiers. An empire of millions of worlds all working to support the war effort. Interstellar travel is difficult and not an everyday event. How does the economy of the 41st Millenium work?
Yes! Finally the winner of the Dark Heresy Contest Corruptio Optimi Pessima and the two runners up Rising Sun and Operation Cleansweep (together with its prequel The Arastus Affair) are available for download. They can be found in the Adventures folder of the Downloads section. We expect that these adventures will be very popular. To limit bandwidth and hopefully prevent the website from crashing only registered members of Dark Reign can download the adventures. In a couple of days we will make them available for all our visitors.
We are busy working on the Dark Heresy Contest supplement. The winning entry Corruptio Optimi Pessima
by Warren Goguen has been edited and layed out. And also the runner-up Rising Sun is finished. Operation Cleansweep and the Aratus Affair have been edited and will be layed out this week. Hopefully we can offer the supplement at the end of this week or early next week so that you can start playing these excellent adventures.
The computers of the 41st Millenium are in one sense complex and sophisticated machines, yet in other ways they seem contrived and horribly crude. Why? The answer to that conundrum lies at the heart of the technology used to build them, and thats what this article will discuss.
Some players
have a problem with the static “spell” lists of psychic powers in Dark
Heresy. They are of the opinion that psychic powers should be less
static and defined to simulate the erratic and spontaneous powers of
the human mind.
