Pit-Slave Bionics PDF Print E-mail
Written by Evilscary

Based on the bionics available for Pit-Slaves from Necromunda. Please let me know what you think, and if any stats need juggling.

Pit-slave tool arm
Commonly fitted to indentured pit-slaves, these arms are large, ugly and intended for industry or pit-fitting (and sometimes both).

A tool arm consists of a crude upper-arm, and a large tool that replaces the forearm. Obviously most tool arms (except for the Claw) are useless for mundane tasks such as operating weapons, lifting or carrying delicate objects. A tool arm cannot be used for such actions, unless the GM rules circumstances allow otherwise.

Such implants are also usually considered a sign that the implantee is a pit-slave or manual labourer, and so a certain social stigma is attached to such bionics.

That said, the huge, brutal nature of the implants adds a dangerous air to anyone fitted with one.
As such, all Pit-slave tool arms grant the implantee +10% to Intimidate checks, but also impose a -10% penalty to Fellowship checks.

All pit-slave arms are considered Common quality.

Rock drill
Mining slaves are commonly modified to carry a massive drill for boring through slag, minerals, and rock. The rock drill makes a fearsome weapon in hand-to-hand combat when used by a Pit Slave.

Power shears
Huge shears are fitted to Pit Slaves for harvesting fungus groves, scrap metal, and other similar things. The sharp blades of the shears are quite capable of snipping bits off a human as well.

Buzzsaw
Buzz Saws are fitted to scrap slaves and particularly unsubtle pit fighters. A whirling disk of toothed steel, the buzz saw can part steel or flesh just as easily with a single scything swing.

Pneumatic hammer

Giant hammers are fitted to mining and foundry slaves. The pile-driver force of a pneumatically driven hammer is so great that opponents in hand-to-hand combat may be knocked senseless and beaten to their knees before they have a chance to fight back.
