Inquisitors are unique
and unusual individuals and it is therefore fitting that creating one
should be equally customised. This method is designed to allow a
player (or GM) the ability to shape the Inquisitors skills and
abilities to match their background.
Are you sick of playing a campaign where nobody has Drive(ground
vehicle) or Pilot(civilian craft) because nobody ever becomes an adept? How are you going to survive without the local bar for food and the
drinks? OMG we don't have a psyker we can't heal! Duh... Fel is my
dump score I can't interact with NPCs beside knifing them...
Eversor Assassins are the most gruesome products of the Officio
Assassinorum. They are drug crazed killing monsters, enhanced by
bio-engineering and experimental surgical procedures. Their state of
mind is amplified to turn a mere dislike for the enemy into raging
hatred, or the wish to serve the Imperium into suicidal determination.
Their main objective on the battlefield is to rip out the heart of an
enemy operation in the most unsubtle way. By slaughtering all enemies
in the vicinity they ensure the command structure is entirely
destroyed.
Ravenor was a member of the Imperial Inquisition
and part of the Ordo Xenos, tasked with keeping humanity safe from
unwanted alien influences, although he would eventually find himself
collaborating with the Eldar
against greater threats to the galaxy. Ravenor's body was woefully
crippled, whilst he was still an Interrogator, during the atrocity of
the Holy Novena on Thracian Primaris. He suffered 100% burns to his
body among other injuries and the only way that medicaes could insert
life-support equipment was to slice a hole in Ravenor's flesh where his
mouth should have been. He was an apprentice of the infamous Gregor
Eisenhorn.
I'm about to start running a campaign for Dark Heresy and I though I
would base it around the Ad-Mech rather than the Inquisition. To do
this I tried to transfer my Magos from Inquisitor to Dark Heresy as the
boss man. Just wandering what feedback was possible as I little
experience with Dark Heresy. Thanks
The
Inquisition maintains a string of fortresses scattered throughout the galaxy,
some hidden, some extremely well known and the object of numerous dark legends.
Inquisitorial Storm Troopers are charged with the protection and security of
the Inquisition fortresses and the infamous Black Ships as the make the purity
checks throughout the Imperium. Recruited from the Schola Progenium and certain
families with a tradition of service to the Inquisition, these Storm Troopers
are equipped and trained in a similar fashion to the elite Storm Troopers of
the Imperial Guard. Storm Troopers undertake rigorous purity and
incorruptibility tests before they are permitted to bear the Inquisitorial
mark, making them preferable for use in Witch Hunter Forces where the number of
Adepta Sororitas available may be insufficient.
Recently, while I was cleaning out the closet, I
stumbled upon my 3rd Edition Imperial Guard Codex. As fate would have
it, I watched "The Dirty Dozen" the previous night...I'm sure Tzeentch
is smiling and saying, "Just as planned," about this incident. Anyway,
I was suitably inspired to write up the following NPCs.
