This is a fansite for the development of the Dark Heresy roleplaying system by Games Workshop and Fantasy Flight Games. This web site is completely unofficial and in no way endorsed by Games Workshop Limited or Fantasy Flight Games.
Fantasy Flight Games, the publisher of Dark Heresy, has a spanking new website. The site looks great but I'm not sure how friendly it is to visitors with slow internet connections. Check it out here. Also, Ross Watson has put together a special downloadable preview of
the upcoming Dark Heresy book Disciples of the Dark Gods! This preview showcases The Beast House, a mysterious
organization infamous for smuggling xenos beasts and running
underground bloodsport arenas across the Calixis sector. You can
download the preview here.
Some people don't see the appeal of starting out as the boot-stompiest
leet-beaters of the known universe. They think that Dark Heresy is trying too hard to be "WFRP with laser
guns" to the detriment of its stated focus. They don't want to play half-arsed subcontractors who might one day impress the Inquisitor enough to be directly employed. The Dark Future 40K roleplaying game wants to give these people the 40K game they want.
This month in Game Trade Magazine #105 you can get a look at some of the content inside Disciples of the Dark Gods! The cover story is “The Burning Princess” by Ross Watson - Hell hath no fury like a pyrokinetic spurned in this excerpt stoked from the embers of the Dark Heresy sourcebook.
Fantasy Flight Games have posted version 2.0 of the Dark Heresy errata document on their Support page. We at Dark Reign are very proud that some of our members, especially Sir Biscuit, Savage and beej67, did most of the heavy lifting on putting the new errata together. Kudos to them and kudos to FFG's Ross Watson for the great support Dark Heresy receives.
Yes! Finally the winner of the Dark Heresy Contest Corruptio Optimi Pessima and the two runners up Rising Sun and Operation Cleansweep (together with its prequel The Arastus Affair) are available for download. They can be found in the Adventures folder of the Downloads section. We expect that these adventures will be very popular. To limit bandwidth and hopefully prevent the website from crashing only registered members of Dark Reign can download the adventures. In a couple of days we will make them available for all our visitors.
We are busy working on the Dark Heresy Contest supplement. The winning entry Corruptio Optimi Pessima
by Warren Goguen has been edited and layed out. And also the runner-up Rising Sun is finished. Operation Cleansweep and the Aratus Affair have been edited and will be layed out this week. Hopefully we can offer the supplement at the end of this week or early next week so that you can start playing these excellent adventures.
The Order of the Aquilia is basically a
crossover between the famous DnD humour strip Order of the Stick and
the Dark Heresy game I'm currently running with my friends. Only one of
them has ever played an RPG before, and one of them is not terribly
familiar with the Warhammer universe. They are all, in their own
special way, insane.
