		<link>http://www.darkreign40k.com/new-packages/valhallan-background-package-3.html</link>
		<description>
The planet of Valhalla lies in the dense layer of stars in the heart of
the the Ultima Segmentum. Millennia ago the planet was a thriving and
lush world, with broad wide oceans separating the vast polar continents
a world known as a paradise planet, far from the dangers of the rest of
the galaxy. All of this was destroyed in an instant.

		<description>
Commonly used by nobles or professional hunters to hunt big game in the wilds, these weapons have found their way in the hands of obscure characters that use them for altogether different purposes. Most of these rifles have such monstrous recoil that they are very difficult to fire without dropping them.

		<title>TheVK's Expansion - Talents</title>
		<link>http://www.darkreign40k.com/talents/thevks-expansion-talents-2.html</link>
		<description>
I decided that there were way too few talents, and thus too much overlap, in the class trees, and wrote a bunch more to either let characters bend rules in feasible and empowering ways or to help certain roles in the party that I believed were underpowered, for instance sniping.

Keep in mind that these talents are NOT equal to one another in power, and should each be treated as elite advances (the DM sets the cost, and determines whether or not a given PC has access). Depending on the campaign world, some such as targeteer might be even cheaper than 100 XP and available early, while others such as Sniper-Surgeon should generally cost over 300 XP and be available only to high tier characters.

		<description>
Deep on the edge of the Calixis Sector, out
toward the border systems that lie upon the brink of the end of the
Imperium there lies a temple to the Omnissiah. Long forgotten about and
often without outside contact for centuries, the priests of the temple
study long forgotten technology and practice research that borders well
past heresy. It is among these hallowed halls of science that Tas-ra Bo
was born and raised and from here where he first discovered the breech.

Sean, whilst talking about play-testing (http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/dark-heresy/design-diary06.shtml),
teased us about a few elements of products being currently play-tested.
Thus me and fellow forumite PM102 decided to ninja our way into their
offices (and minds) and steal a copy of so famed options, our loot is
presented below for your perusal.

(Or how to make friends and immolate people)

In advance of September&amp;rsquo;s release of Disciples of the Dark Gods, I
thought I&amp;rsquo;d have a crack at putting together some villains for your
characters to immolate. These two are low level scum, none too subtle or dangerous, and are
suitable for cornering in their feeble lairs and burning at the stake
in one convenient session.

		<link>http://www.darkreign40k.com/latest/new-ffg-website-and-dotdg-preview-2.html</link>
		<description>
Fantasy Flight Games, the publisher of Dark Heresy, has a spanking new website. The site looks great but I'm not sure how friendly it is to visitors with slow internet connections. Check it out here (http://new.fantasyflightgames.com/). Also, Ross Watson has put together a special downloadable preview of
the upcoming Dark Heresy book Disciples of the Dark Gods! This preview showcases The Beast House, a mysterious
organization infamous for smuggling xenos beasts and running
underground bloodsport arenas across the Calixis sector. You can
download the preview here (http://new.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/dark-heresy/pdf/disciples-of-the-dark-gods-preview.pdf).

I love the old critters that appeared in Rogue Trader (and sometimes
after in it in Chapter Approved), so I'm translating some of them to DH
ruleset. The Catachan Devil is probably the most famous of all of them,
and for years the most feared.

		<link>http://www.darkreign40k.com/latest/new-40k-rpg-dark-future-2.html</link>
		<description>
Some people don't see the appeal of starting out as the boot-stompiest
leet-beaters of the known universe. They think that Dark Heresy is trying too hard to be WFRP with laser
guns to the detriment of its stated focus. They don't want to play half-arsed subcontractors who might one day impress the Inquisitor enough to be directly employed. The Dark Future 40K roleplaying game wants to give these people the 40K game they want.

		<title>New Combat Manoeuvre: Fanning</title>
		<link>http://www.darkreign40k.com/house-rules/new-combat-manoeuvre-fanning-2.html</link>
		<description>
'Fanning' is the name sometimes given to a method of rapidly firing a
single (or double) action revolver by using one's free hand to sweep
back the hammer between shots. While not the most accurate combat
manoeuvre, firing allows the firer to maintain a rate of fire easily
comparable to that of a semi-automatic weapon, and allows them to fill
a target area with significant amounts of lead.

		<title>Occupation and Background Skills</title>
		<link>http://www.darkreign40k.com/house-rules/occupations-and-background-2.html</link>
		<description>
Everyone loves a good story, especially their own. I
developed these two starter skills to encourage players to develop a character
concept and background history that defines how their character has turned out
the way they have before game start. This can be based on their experiences in
such areas as the family business, life on the street, servitude or even
hobbies or interests outside the standard experiences, but should be well
defined. You can use the Home Worlds in the Dark Heresy book as inspiration.
Once they have done this, it could make it easier to plug in all the required
information, such as characteristics, skills, traits and talents on their
character sheet.

		<title>Fast Combat Rules</title>
		<link>http://www.darkreign40k.com/house-rules/fast-combat-rules.html</link>
		<description>
The combat system in DH seem somewhat 'bulky' for running fast paced combat, here is a simple system to use, for running combats a lot faster, while not making changes to the basic system. The core mechanic is an expansion on the initiative system with WS BS attribute bonus that is used for combat resolution. And includes a single target number of 10 for all combat rolls.

These rules have not been tested in DH, but have been tested edited in another House system my group uses for single / Con-scenarios, with emphasis on action and simplicity over details numbers crunching.

		<link>http://www.darkreign40k.com/latest/dark-heresy-errata-2.0.html</link>
		<description>
Fantasy Flight Games have posted version 2.0 of the Dark Heresy errata document on their Support page (http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/dark-heresy/support.shtml). We at Dark Reign are very proud that some of our members, especially Sir Biscuit, Savage and beej67, did most of the heavy lifting on putting the new errata together. Kudos to them and kudos to FFG's Ross Watson for the great support Dark Heresy receives.
