In advance of September’s release of Disciples of the Dark Gods, I
thought I’d have a crack at putting together some villains for your
characters to immolate. These two are low level scum, none too subtle or dangerous, and are
suitable for cornering in their feeble lairs and burning at the stake
in one convenient session.
I love the old critters that appeared in Rogue Trader (and sometimes
after in it in Chapter Approved), so I'm translating some of them to DH
ruleset. The Catachan Devil is probably the most famous of all of them,
and for years the most feared.
During my spare hours at college, I sat with a copy of DH and got down to work. The
result was 3 types of threats for my PC's to go up against, and one
named character 'apostle preacher alan merritt' (yes alan merritt, at
the time i was brain storming Ideas for him at veterans night at
Gamesworkshop, i was in a bar with my Players present; and i simply
asked 'im stuck for a name for the apostle preacher, any ideas?' and i
found several ideas very good, some serious, some jokingly. finally
pete playing as the psyker piped up 'why not alan merritt and his
laptop of fluffy doom?' I found the Idea of the preacher being alan
merritt, highly amusing, as did my Players as well...it kinda stuck).
My attempt at a Warhammer 40k themed zombie. These are presented as the progeny of a supernatural Nurgle plague, though they may be obviously adapted as a GM wishes.
These zombies are intended to be the stuff of bad horror movies. Mindless
killers who are almost unstoppable! You can easily outrun them, but for how
long.
I have added some stuff, and corrected some grammar. English is not my
native language so some errors I do not notice.
Deep
in the bowels of Hive Sibellus, a terrifying experiment has taken place
this past decade. The Hive has taken an abomination to its bosom.
Cylah is known and loved around her adopted home of Heinous Sump. Ten
years ago, she wandered into the crumbling dome penniless and
mind-wiped. Many of that unfortunate dome's inhabitants are in a
similar state, and she was accepted as one of them. She is as much a
hive dweller as any who grew up there. Now she is a leader of great
reknown in the Underhive. Even she does not suspect that she is not
only artificial, but a heretical artifact of such magnitude that her
very presence dooms all of Scintilla, should she be uncovered.
Ok, i've tried to stay as close to the rules as possible for the original concept of the Astral Spectre, but there have been a few modifications to make it parse more sensibly in the DH setting..
This isnt an attempt to re-write the Astral Spectre in the DH Handbook, that has little similarity to the original Astral Spectre. They make for an interesting addition to the Beastiary..
