This is a piece of custom gear I made for my character in an upcoming game of Rogue Trader. He is a hand to hand fighter so I thought these might be cool. Any thoughts on them would be cool.
Spathian Combat Vambrace

Mechanics: The Spathian combat vambraces are a custom hand to hand armor piece that is designed so the wearer may parry incoming melee attacks while fighting unarmed. In addition the S C Vambraces have the defensive trait, which grant the wearer a +15 bonus to the parry check. Due to the weight and unique nature in way the warrior must parry attacks with the Spathian Combat Vambrace the unarmed warrior talent is required to use and gain the full bonuses of the vambrace.
Description: Made of thick and dark leather-like material the Spathian combat vambrace resemble the forearm and hand’s inner muscle structure with strands of armor material lacing the length of the vanbrace. Interwoven with these tendon-like strands are the contoured and sculpted Cerametal armor plates to provide the vambrace with the strength it needs to protect the unarmed warrior’s forearms while they parry melee attacks. The tendon-like strands act as shock absorbers dispersing the impact force along the length of the vambrace. The vambraces encloses the entire forearm and thumb and cover the remaining fingers down to the second knuckle, giving freedom to make grappling and joint locking attacks. Each knuckle is protected by a cerametal cover that acts like brass knuckles. Covering the back of the unarmed warrior’s hand is a cerametal plate and the palm is re-enforced by the leather-like armor martial to prevent damage to palm on parry attempts.
